The SSCWF-mini is a small security camera with internal batteries with a solar panel included which can be used outside in areas where traditional, cabled cameras cannot be easily located.
This is a companion product to the larger SSCWF which is for larger areas and more structured installation with solar power only whereas the SSCWF-mini has 2 Lithium batteries which can be charged from USB or solar with a small, 3W panel included making this an excellent choice for caravan security where quick and easy deployment is required.
With built-in Wi-Fi this can be setup as an Access Point (you will need to connect directly to the camera) or it can be joined into your own Wi-Fi network so that it is accessible while you are connected to that.
The free app can connect to the camera for live viewing with manual recording and snapshot selection and with the inbuilt microphone and speaker you can hear audio from the camera and speak back (simplex channel only, either speak or listen at any one time).
The PIR sensor detects motion both day and night and the camera can be set to record a short video clip when this is activated with an alarm able to be sent to the smartphone via Wi-Fi to alert that an event has been detected. Click on the link below for an example of the file recorded.

Alarm files, manual videos and snapshots are all recorded to an internal Micro SD Card, up to 128GB (16GB included) and can be downloaded to the phone for later viewing, sharing or just as a backup. As long as the smartphone is on the same WLAN as the camera, the user can check the camera, receive notifications and then view or save the alarm video.
At night the camera can use either IR LEDs for illumination but also has White LEDs which can be set as a warning to intruders or to provide visible light.
While not as advanced as a fully networked and cabled security solution this can provide effective security forbuilding sites, caravans, rural homes and out-buildings, locked storage areas and other similar areas where video security is desired but no physical connection is pratical or possible.
Where no standard Wi-Fi network is available this can be used with a mobile Wi-Fi via 4G device which are readily available and provide connections for mutiple items which use Wi-Fi.
